The disaster that happened in Burns Lake could just as easily have happened here, especially with many of the mills in such close proximity to each other. As a single mill community Burns Lake will face huge economic challenges. Efforts are being organized to collect non-perishable food and money to help the residents whose livelyhood was destroyed in an instant.  The details are here: http://www.opinion250.com/blog/view/22934/1/charitable+events+for+burns+lake+set
